Silky baked flan with a deep amber caramel top — rich, smooth, and made in-house at both of our Orange County bakeries.

What is flan napolitano?

Flan napolitano is Mexico's creamy caramel custard — dense, silky, and finished with a glossy layer of burnt-sugar caramel. It is richer and smoother than a lighter flan, with that classic sweet, sticky top in every bite.

We bake it in individual pans so you can take one home for dessert, bring a few to a dinner party, or add them to a party tray next to pan dulce and cake. No preservatives, nothing frozen — just the same family recipes we have used since 1994.

At Tlaxcala Bakery you will find flan napolitano in the dessert case at both our Santa Ana and Anaheim locations. Ask at the counter for what just came out, and call ahead if you need a larger order for a celebration.

How people enjoy our flan

A classic finish to any meal — here is when it leaves the case.

After dinner dessert

One pan per person is the easy weeknight treat. Cold from the fridge, caramel pooled on top.

Parties & dessert tables

Line up a row next to cake, gelatinas, and pan dulce. Individual portions mean no slicing and no mess.

Holidays & celebrations

A familiar favorite for birthdays, baptisms, and Sunday family meals — always welcome on the table.

Office & potlucks

Travels well in the pan. Bring a few and watch them disappear first.

With coffee

The caramel richness pairs perfectly with a hot cup of café de olla or black coffee.

Bulk & event orders

Planning a big gathering? Call either location a day ahead and we will set aside enough flan for your group.

Looking for more sweets?

Flan is one star of our dessert lineup. Our cases also hold pan dulce, budín, and custom cakes for bigger celebrations.

If you are filling a party table, start with flan and add a tray of pan dulce or a custom cake from our cake kitchen.

Flan napolitano questions we get asked

What is the difference between flan and flan napolitano?

Flan napolitano is the creamier Mexican style — denser and richer than a lighter flan, with a silky texture and a glossy caramel top. Ours is baked in-house at both locations.

How is your flan sold?

In individual foil pans, ready to take home. Ask at the counter for how many are available that day.

Do I need to order flan ahead of time?

Not for a pan or two. For large party quantities, call the Santa Ana or Anaheim bakery a day ahead so we can make enough.

Does flan need to be refrigerated?

Yes. Keep it cold and serve chilled. The caramel softens beautifully once it has rested in the fridge.

Where can I buy flan napolitano in Santa Ana and Anaheim?
